I wrote a post about the F-word a couple of weeks ago. It looks as if the new head of the Joint Intelligence Committee could well be a candidate for the pantheon:

Perhaps not quite as pithy as F***! The f***ing f***er's f***ed... But not bad either.

Didn't you say you used up your supply of asterixes? The Guardian does not asterix, which I always find refreshing compared to the US papers ;-)
I never understood why asterixes are supposed to be less offensive since everybody know what is meant, but then I am not very smart...
