I've been caught out on the "Can you lend me a fiver for the train..." scam (a long time ago, I might add) but even I know better than to answer e-mails from Nigerians bearing gifts. Yet some people do fall for the trick - even experts in psychological profiling. A salutary tale, via Arts & Letters Daily.
Ofcourse it was a long time ago. Who would believe a fiver for the train these days? Won’t even get you the platform ticket!!

Circa 1982, Waterloo Station. Gosh, I was gullible in those days. I really did expect to get it back.
