Clive,

Also worth recalling that no-one in their right mind would consider the Blitz the epitome of Nazi "shock and awe" tactics. The Battle of France demonstrated the power and efficiency of the Blitzkrieg rather more effectively (and as you know air power was only one component of that).

In any case, should we avoid using or updating effective military tactics simply because they were also used by the Nazis? I ain't that self-indulgent or fastidious.
