I've just come back from a lecture in Oxford, and haven't had time to keep abreast of all the latest news this evening. Sorry about that. Having just scrolled through the comments section, I can't help wondering whether this blog has all that many rational readers. Never mind. Perhaps they're simply the silent majority. Just to repeat what I've been saying all along: until we have firm evidence that there's a major Islamist element in all this, there's no point making wild claims. Is that so controversial?
Let's face it, so far this hasn't been the blogosphere's finest hour. Still, I'm looking forward to reading Patrick Belton's reports from Paris.
I don't comment because I agree with most things you say. So there are 2 of us at least.
BTW, I have often wondered why some blogs attract hundreds of comments whilst others of comparable quality attract relatively few. Fertile ground for a PhD thesis, I would say!

I also don't comment, but read you every day. Whether that confirms or refutes your idea that only insane people read your blog is for you to say!

Thanks, Eamonn and Daniel! I think every blogger must have those moments when he thinks he may be talking to himself....

Sane people have less time for writing comments than insane people.
I am not reading your blog every day (due to lack of time), but about once a week.
