Apparently, footballer Paulo de Canio has been doing his Duce impression again. Seems the supporters of the team he was playing against, Livorno, like to wave hammer-and-sickle flags and pictures of Che Guevara. Proof, at least, that English fans don't have the lowest IQ in Europe.
MORE: The spirit of Noel Coward is alive and well on the Millwall terraces.
Reluctanctly, I have to agree that English fans don't have the lowest IQ in Europe.
However, Italian fans can't claim that dubious honor either: fans in Western Scotland use religious hatred to taunt each other. In my book there is no contest between religious hatred and totalitarian ideology: religious hatred demands a lower IQ.
Sadly, the Scots win and The Cup stays at home.
