When Cahn submitted the original lyric to Sinatra on the title track, "Come Fly With Me", one line originally went, "If you could use/ some exotic views/there's a bar in far Bombay." According to Cahn, Sinatra originally recorded it as such. Then, at the end of the date, Cahn informed Sinatra that he had additionally written a slightly racier alternative lyric. Cahn considered that text - which substituted "booze" for "views" - suitable for Las Vegas but not for a family-oriented Capitol Records release.
