A reader responds to the two posts about Iraq and hindsight:
After 9/11 there was the question of what we do about the hostiliy towards us in the Arab world. At the time, the only two options discussed were offerring Israel up on a platter for appeasement and invading Iraq. If there were fewer Palestinian flags and Stars of Davids equated with Swastikas they might made have had more impact. The problem there was very little intelligent probing of other solutions. People on both sides just jumped on the simplistic answers. Maybe there was another way.
