Mobile phones may change literature in other ways that you'd not perhaps thought of...

There's been a book published in Finland with a narrative consisting entirely of mobile phone text messages. Author Hannu Luntiala left a comment on this blog about his book FYI:

I've thought about that w/r/t two of my favorite tv shows from the 90s - the X Files and Buffy, which took divergent approaches to the reality of mobile phones. The X Files fetishized them and drew them intimately into its stories; Buffy, by contrast, simply pretended they didn't exist - an omission upon which major aspects of the plot arc hinged.
